The year 2022 will continue to be the year of trade recovery with just over €4.5 billion invested. However, this statement should still be qualified because not all trade has resumed in the same way. The main lesson of this recovery is above all a return to basics and to the unchangeable rule that is location. Emerging from the Yellow Vests crisis and the Covid-19 pandemic, investors saw the great resilience of the food industry as well as the retail park. For their part, shopping malls, and to a lesser extent, the feet of buildings, especially regional ones, have found it more difficult to reinvent themselves and, consequently, to maintain liquidity in the eyes of buyers.
