International law firm Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner has moved its Manchester offices to 40 Spring Gardens following more than a decade of growth in the city.
The company, which opened in the city in 2014 at 76 King Street, will occupy 11,331 square feet at its new workspace, having grown its headcount to more than 100 staff. It expands its footprint from around 9,000 square feet.
CoStar data shows that the circa 100,000-square-foot Spring Gardens building is owned by Aviva Investors, which acquired the scheme for £54 million in 2019. Aldermore Bank occupies floors one to four.
BCLP said it chose 40 Spring Gardens for its "BREEAM-certified rating, advanced energy-efficient systems, and features that prioritize employee wellbeing".
Its Manchester teams advise a number of high-profile clients including The Crown Estate, Landsec, Sixth Street, Barclays, HSBC, Federated Hermes and BlackRock, among others.

Law firms continue to be active in securing new workspace in Manchester, with a number wrapping up deals this year. They include JMW, which signed a 15-year deal at Revcap's 125 Deansgate across 42,260 square feet in October.
